Prof. François Vellas, AIUTA President with Prof Carlos Santos, AIUTA Secretary General and President ORT Açores did a presentation in Santa Maria Island on AIUTA INSULA. This meeting chaired by Barbara Chavez Mayor of Santa Maria focused on the way to develop both U3As lifelong learning in Small islands, such as Santa Maria with 5.500 inhabitants. Visiting the island, AIUTA delegates could exchange with seniors and visit touristic hospitality island providers. Santa Maria will participate to AIUTA INSULA actions and will set up it own U3A in cooperation with AIUTA.
