Rector Marat Syrlybayev, Ualikhanov University, invited Professor François Vellas, President of AIUTA, to take part in the official ceremony launching the new academic year of the University of the Third Age in Kokshetau (Kazakhstan) on Tuesday, September 16th, 2025. The AIUTA delegation, including Janka Chladecka, Director of the University of the Third Age of the University of Economics and Management of Bratislava, visited the activity center of senior students and was received by the center’s director before attending the inauguration together with Ualikhanov University’s Vice-President Aigul Zhakupova. Ualikhanov University of Kokshetau is the driving force behind the creation of the Kazakhstan Network of Universities of the Third Age, which was officially established by the Minister of Science and Higher Education, Sayasat Nurbek, in Astana on September 15th, 2025, in the presence of the AIUTA delegation.
