At the initiative of Professor Carlos Santos, President of ORT Azores, François Vellas, President of AIUTA, and Montserrat Moros, Secretary General of AIUTA and Vitor Ambrosio, Professor at Tourism and Hospitality institute Estoril, participated in the international seminar organized at the University of the Third Age of the University of the Azores in Ponta Delgada on lifelong learning and the integration of seniors into student life on Thursday, September 25, 2025. Carlos Santos, also Deputy Secretary General of AIUTA, proposed to integrate universities of the third age into surveys conducted from the Azores in European countries and other continents on the profiles of senior students and their expectations, particularly in the field of international education, transport, and travel. The first results of this survey will be presented by Carlos Santos at the occasion of the International Conference and AIUTA Board of Directors in Prague, on October 13 and 17, 2025.
