Pavel HELAN, Director of the University of the Third Age of Charles University, and President of the Czech National Association, welcomed at Charles University the international delegates of AIUTA on the occasion of the the 115th Board meeting of the International Association of Universities of the Third Age on Monday, October 13, 2025. The ceremony was presided over by the Rector of Charles University, Milena Kralickova, along with the representative of the Senate of the Czech Republic, Martin Krsek, Professor François Vellas, President of AIUTA, Honorary President of the Czech Association of Universities of the Third Age Roman Prokov, the President of the Association of Universities of the Third Age of Mexico, Raul Diego Rivera, and the President of the AUT University of Byblos, Ghada Sakr. The Czech Republic together with its Universities of the Third Age is one of the pillars of AIUTA in developing lifelong learning in Central and Eastern Europe. The work of the 115th Board meeting welcomes delegates from around twenty countries, including representatives from Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and South America. This meeting is intended to enable AIUTA to develop intercontinental international relations among Universities of the Third Age.
