The Universities of the Third Age of Spain — including Barcelona, Valencia, Malaga, Alto Palancia and Alicante — together with Marian Aleson Carbonell, President of AEPUM (Spanish Association of Universities of the Third Age), participated in the AIUTA Governing Board and the International Conference in Prague, held at Charles University from October 13th to 15th, 2025.
Salomé Cuesta Valera, Vice-Rector of the Polytechnic University of Valencia, and Ana Muñoz Gonzalo, Director of the University of the Third Age, presented a paper on the relationship between the University and the University of the Third Age.
Carles Buenacasa, Director of the Universitat de l’Experiència, and Adriana Peña Bueno, Head of Continuing Education, presented the case of the University of Barcelona.
José Jesús Delgado Peña, Director of Aula de Mayores 55+, spoke about the links with the University of Malaga.
Jordi Mirabell Guerin, Director of the Campus de l’Experiència at the International University of Catalonia, and Mary Kizpatrick presented the Campus of Experience of the University of Barcelona, active in several regions of Catalonia, such as Calonge Sant Antoni on the Costa Brava.
Montserrat Amorós, President of the University of the Third Age of Alto Palancia, spoke about international cooperation programmes along the Cocoa Route in South America, while Marian Aleson from the University of Alicante presented the European Erasmus+ programmes involving Universities of the Third Age.
