At the invitation of Janka Chladecka, Director of the University of the Third Age at the University of Economics and Business in Bratislava, Professor François Vellas, President of AIUTA, took part in working meetings with the University Rector and the Dean of the Faculty of Tourism. The University of the Third Age has experienced remarkable growth, now enrolling more than 1,700 students. Following this visit, AIUTA representatives were received by the Mayor and municipal officials, who provide significant support to the University of the Third Age in coordination with senior centers in Bratislava’s districts. The success of the University of the Third Age at the University of Economics and Business in Bratislava highlights the importance of cooperation between administrative and academic authorities in meeting the lifelong learning needs of older adults. AIUTA will continue to work closely with the Bratislava team, particularly in joint international cooperation projects in Central Asian countries, notably Kazakhstan .
