AIUTA delegates took part in the second day of the international conference on gerontology and Universities of the Third Age organized by U3A Nigeria in Ibadan on Friday, January 23, 2026. Following the conference, the delegates visited the headquarters of the Pensioners’ Union, where they were received by its President. The Pensioners’ Union has launched a highly innovative initiative: the creation of an FM radio station dedicated to seniors. During the visit to this radio station, interviews were conducted with Charles Afolabi, President of U3A Nigeria; Sidi Camara, High Representative of AIUTA; Babadje Afolabi, Director of AIUTA Connect; and François Vellas, President of AIUTA. This initiative helps amplify the voices of Universities of the Third Age and seniors throughout Nigeria and serves as a model for AIUTA member countries .
