AIUTA delegates with Professor François Vellas, President of AIUTA, and President Sidi Camara, AIUTA High Representative for West and Central Africa, took part in meetings held in Lagos and Ibadan, Nigeria, focused on international cooperation among Universities of the Third Age. In Lagos, the AIUTA delegation visited the offices of AIUTA Connect with Babajide Afolabi and his team. The AIUTA Connect program will incorporate new developments in order to integrate online training and senior tourism. In Ibadan, the AIUTA delegates visited television and radio studio facilities as well as a hospital specialized in senior care. They also held a working meeting at the Alliance Française of Ibadan, which has initiated a pioneering cooperation with U3A Nigeria for the benefit of senior students. With President Charles Afolabi and his entire team, Nigeria represents a very important example of the development of Universities of the Third Age in Africa.
