The UTA of the University of Sherbrooke celebrated the 50th anniversary of its foundation during a ceremony organized on the campus of the University of Sherbrooke, in the presence of the university rector, the director of the UTA and his team, as well as former director Monique Harvey, who often participated in the Board of Directors of AIUTA. This ceremony brought together more than 200 participants from all regions of the Province of Quebec, alongside representatives of AIUTA. On this occasion, numerous exchanges took place with representatives of the various UTAs spread throughout the province, bringing together more than 14,500 students and senior learners, in addition to more than 6,000 occasional adult learners. The UTA of Sherbrooke is an example for the Universities of the Third Age within AIUTA of the success of a regional network enabling the implementation of lifelong learning programs as close as possible to the places where seniors live.
