As part of the international seminar organized by the LongLife Academy and AIUTA, the delegation from the University of the Third Age of the University of Economics and Management in Bratislava, Slovakia, was honored and received by the Minister of Tourism of Mongolia. The Slovak delegation, led by the Rector of the University, Ferdinand DANO, and the Director of the University of the Third Age, Janka Chladecka, took part in discussions with representatives of Mongolian senior associations gathered at the initiative of Otgoo Gombo. They also met with the Mongolian Minister of Tourism to discuss study trips for seniors in cooperation with Universities of the Third Age. Several protocols were signed to develop international cooperation among AIUTA Universities of the Third Age, particularly with Bratislava, in the fields of lifelong learning and study travel programs for older adults. Following this seminar, an enhanced cooperation program will be proposed to Mongolia’s educational and tourism authorities in order to progressively establish, with the support of AIUTA, a strategy for the development of senior tourism throughout Mongolia, with the assistance of the Universities of the Third Age.
