The CNCA delegation, composed of Mr. Gao Chengyun, Director General of the China Research Center on Ageing; Mr. Zhang Bao, Deputy Director General of the Rights Protection Department of the China National Committee on Ageing; Ms. Liu Miao, Senior Staff Member of the Policy Research Department of the China National Committee on Ageing; and Ms. Duan Wanyi, Staff Member of the International Department of the China National Committee on Ageing, participated in the AIUTA Board of Directors meeting and the International Conference organized in cooperation with FEDERUNI in Bari, Italy, from 23 to 26 September 2026. Director General Gao Chengyun presented the latest developments in universities of the third age in China, while Mr. Zhang Bao delivered a presentation on China’s experience in lifelong learning as a means of combating social isolation. Professor François Vellas extended his warm congratulations to Mr. Diao Haifeng, President of CAUA, on his re-election as First Vice-President of AIUTA at the Bari Board meeting.
