Henry Acunas Barrantes, Director of Extension and Social Projects at the University of the Third Age of the Nueva Granada Military University (UMNG), Bogotá, Colombia, presented a paper on the experience of the UMNG Senior University, focusing on the profile and well-being of older people living in rural areas of the “Savana Centro” region. UMNG was awarded the trophy for the best lifelong learning experience for isolated older people. This presentation represents a particularly important and relevant experience in the context of the conference held in Bari on Universities of the Third Age and the fight against social isolation.
